Muppets and the \"bug\"

Having noticed them mentioned lately on this forum as a term of abuse I would like do come out to state that I like muppets, indeed some of my closest friends are muppets and whilst I am likely to sound like one , we do not understand this fuel bug thing. Yes we have read the MBM report but not really sure if our new boat is likely to have the "bug" - how would we know? What should we do baring in mind she has two half full diesel tanks and will be taken out for winter soon. Should we fill up tanks soon and add S*****n or some other household brand as a prevention ?

Joanne, Kermit, Gonzo and the gang

Some day my boat will come..........

As a fellow, Nay. The original muppet I can speak with some authority on the matter.

It is always better to leave the fuel tanks full. That way there is less air in the tanks for condensation to develop. I use Soltron mainly to cut down on smoke. But it also kills the water bug and most folk find it give a bit better speed/power/less fuel consumption.
