this was taken as the yacht stopped to let the 2 boys back on board, after they had been swimming after the boat for about 10 Min's, I wonder what they did wrong?????

Naah Julie, you have completely misread this! The late 40's women skippering the boat have given their husbands the slip for the day. A couple of days previous, they had seen the lifeguards (with 6-packs) on duty at the local beach and offered them some champaign and .... errrr....well, ya know - on board for a day.

All they had to do was swim for it!!

Nautor's Swan. Believe it is one of the 1980's designed ones built through into 1990's. Designers of the range were Ron Holland and German Frers

Quite a strange looking boat. Lots of portholes(?) if that is the correct term for windows towards stern, and very flat outline with no obvious cabin

Yup, I saw this to in Osborne bay yesterday afternoon. Mum and Dad on the Swan towing the two lads through the anchorage buy a bit of rope out the back. Not enough speed though to do a bit of bear foot water skiing !

I must admit i to went for a dip at slack water yesterday and it wasn't that cold in the water.

Looks like a Nautor Swan 46, German Frers design. The larger Swans have a raised coachroof which tapers into the foredeck giving a very clean looking profile.
