Hi,

I just came across this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390714279220&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:GB:3160 bit of kit.

I don't have shore power and, with the different laptops that people bring on board, a single charger with multiple connections will be handy. It also has a separate USB connection. (The downside will be keeping the connectors out of the bilge!)

I've only just ordered it, so I can't report on the quality but I thought it might be of interest to anyone else whose chart table turns into an electronics warehouse when the kids and guests are aboard.

I see that this is dispatched from China. Many recent reports of poor quality/catching fire etc of Chinese mains power adapters so I'll pass on this one.
There are very few things that any of us buys that are not from China! But, I appreciate your distinction between 'official' CE marked imports and posted goods.

Check the power rating too, 90W is ok for most basic laptops but not for higher end ones. Mine has a 120W mains charger for example.
Thanks. I checked and my laptop is 90W.

So, laptop power sorted! Now, I just need to get on with some Android charts for Greece. Only 10 days to go!

I bought one as shown in post #1 last year. It works fine for SWMBO and her Compaq but my Acer Aspire One wont charge through it, meaning I have to use the inverter. Correct voltage but no joy for me!

Any ideas for the Acer and I'd like to hear them......

any acer ideas for me too please.

Good news for me with my Compaq but tough for #1 son when he comes on board with his Acer ... and the new "no bringing chargers on board"! rule ;-)
