Question hum 14/15 Rough Lea boating lake. The history, how it came about.

16/ Did they really only employ bauld men at Sabden, so they could let them down on suckers to mine treacle. Was this a joke. Or did hairy men fall off!!

You could hire sailing boats at Fairhaven. Stanley boating lake has shrunk through lack of water. Thompsons has no Islands.

It was a mill lodge in the country. Some enterprising made a boating lake and funfair there.
