Dear all,
which duo MPPT solar charger can you recommend for a 12V 30W panel connecting two lead-acid batteries ? Where I live, it seems Victron is the only choice around :(

AliExpress has never disappointed me, so far... :D

THANKS,
V.

If by Duo, you mean able to charge two separate battery banks, the Victron MPPT controllers will not do that, as far as i'm aware no true MPPT controller will.

The Victron MPPT controllers are very good, but in my opinion it is an absolute must to fit the bluetooth or USB interface, so you can monitor the controller and see/change the settings.

However, as you only have 30w os solar power, there is little to be gained from an expensive MPPT controller, certainly not the Victron one. I would suggest a decent quality PWM controller from the likes of Photonic Universe.

Thanks, but why's that ? I'm under the impression that MPPT gives best solar panel performance...

It does, but for a small panel the difference is quite marginal especially in very sunny/hot conditions. I think you will get better performance by using a PWM controller and putting the cost saving into buying a bigger and/or additional panel.

I though the same but a bit of Googling came up with this ( the smallest in range from the same people), offering automatic charging of the main battery plus trickle charging of the engine start battery.

The price though makes it OTT for the OP
