Just been built in Toughs and on its way round to a basin on other side of dockyard for finishing.

Suspect something like that is going to end up somewhere fairly posh !

Me brother is either standing on top of that houseboat or in the wheelbox of tug .
Toughs have been doing a number of those floating homes in covered slip as well as survey work on the Thames Clippers.

Posh palace

Aye,that is my good self in command of navigation.Perched on the top.
This is the second one of these to leave Turks yard.
The first one was used as a floating television studio in St.Catherines dock during the Olympics.
I spent two days in a deck chair VHF in hand sitting on the front balcony.
However, being dive bombed and surrounded by Special forces on the trip up the Thames was a little worrying.
Especially at night.
Passing the aircraft carrier with an armed escort was quite interesting.
Especially as there was some scaffold tubes on the top deck and the skipper wouldn't let me poke one out of the windows as we passed.
No humour.

Oops just had a demand from old git the elder for forum usage fees.
Is this normal, also to a bank in tha Caymen isles?

Absolutely normal. You should pay up at once, as he needs to replace that old Audi......

:D

nobody knos the trouble I seen....
.It blimming freezing standing on street corners with me violin and bottle of meths, not sure who the dog on a string belongs to.
The begging letters are not as productive as they once were either .B1 keeps sending them back marked
" Unknown at this address" :(

Anybody know of any really cheap boating clubs to join, can bring my own bit of coal to any the meetings and am normally well wrapped up with plenty of old newspapers if the premises is a bit drafty.Must have nice view tho:)

This was the first tow which went to the Olympics.
Now back in Rochester awaiting conversion to upmarket river side dwelling.
Plans for a further 30/40 units in the pipeline.

Upmarket:confused: I do have a concern that these things start populating the river banks.:(

Did hear rumour that they were all headed for a bit of river bank immediately below Windsor, nice open views over pleasant parkland and excellent private security. ?

Ive been past that several times now and did wonder what it was.
Couple of months ago we sat in the mcdonalds car park and saw a couple of blokes in a tug moor up next to it then hop into their tender and disappear up river.

If you are there tomorrow you will see those same two blokes going the other way.
Small barge to go into Damhead creek.
