Moving Home - Help Needed Please

Hi Lawsy, I have a trailer that I think would be suitable (located in Bidston, Wirral about 5 miles from L,pool marina) that you can borrow, sorry no longer have a car that will tow it (the wife has forced me into ordering her a new M3).
With regards to going by sea should be an easy trip, we used to do it regularly in a 16ft Tremlett.
Andy.

I have not been back to the uk for over three years, so this info could be out of date. There used to be a firm that operated out of Preston marina, one man band with big fourtrack and his own trailers. His name is Nick Lancaster, I used him to transport a yacht from down south one winter, I found him to be very good and reliable, hence the reccomendation. Perhaps someone from the area would know if he still offered this service.

Lawsey I have looked on the web at a similar boat.
As others have said it can be floated aross in the right conditions.
I have done the trip a few times.
Would be a nice Adventure for you, plus you would learn a good bit about the Area and your boat.
Be a good Post on ere too! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I,m ready when you are if that's what you want to do.

Hi my trailer always has my boat on it, but if you could borrow a trailer I should be able to recover your boat and tow it down to Conwy for you.

Subject to sorting out insurance etc.

Many thanks to you all for your suggestions - good, bad & sarky! It looks like Kawasaki has drawn the short straw (I'll be in touch next week) especially now that the future Mrs Lawsy reckons it's a brilliant offer / suggestion. As to the risk of meeting the leg-end that is HLB in Conwy? Well life is all about taking chances, ain't it!
Regards.
Lawsy

I see why Kwaker volunteered.

Sorry, I don't think each boat comes with one.

PLEASE STOP SHOWING SUCH FOTOS DURING DAYTIME VIEWING!!

It's completely disturbed me now for the rest of the day, when I should be "working". /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

My, my she's a lovely young thing ain't she /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

The future Mrs Lawsy has just been reading the updates on this thread & reckons she is better looking than the young imposter above. As said future Mrs Lawsy is stood very nearby & has a bread-knife in her hand, who am I to disagree with her valued & very perceptive opinion?

The trip is on in then.

You will have to drive the Car round.
To meet us in Wales.
It's quite a Trip really.
Could take a couple of days /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I'm quite prepared to accept the future Mrs Lawsy could be a more attractive crew member.
We'll be able to judge better when the pics from the trip are posted. If you can't get strawberries it doesn't matter.

Kwaker strikes again, it is a brilliant offer and fair play to him.

Tip: make sure it's a nice sunny day coz if it's raining he'll probably helm her around by road swearing "plenty of depth" as he goes /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Fair play guys - enjoy the trip.

We look forward to the pics /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
