Hello!

Hopefully this is in the right place... I am hoping someone out there might have some advice!

Basically I have a yacht in the marina at Port St Louis, I have a lorry ready to bring her home and the Navy Service are ready to lift her. My problem is that there doesn't seem to be a way to get the boat (which does not run) from the marina to the crane. The marina say they do not have the facilities, the Navy Service have asked me to get the marina to tow the boat up (problem) and now I can't seem to get a response from the Navy Service. I tried asking Port Napoloen but they say they only look after their own.

So as you can see, I am stuck! Has anyone out there overcome this problem is the past or know anyone who can give the boat a tow? The lorry is going to be ready on the 4th July so getting a little desperate now.

Thanks so much for any help.

My quick look at a map shows a relatively short and sheltered move. If this is the case why not get a dinghy and decent outboard secured alongside and tow her between the two. Surprisingly easy and a second dinghy standing by could help with any manoeuvring.

Will be at Navy services on 28th June if I can help.
Are you there now?
Have you an out board? Are there sails?
The Chandlers along the road to Navy services may assist ( at a price of course)
I will ask at Navy services as I still have a contract even thought the boat is now in Sardinia.
