Hello,
I installed an ultrasonic antifouling kit last year, and fitted the transducer according to the instructions (grind a flat patch in hull, epoxy on a plastic mount, screw the transducer into the mount).
This does not seem very satisfactory to me as there are three interfaces between transducer and hull (transducer - glue - rubber - glue -hull). I am therefore thinking of mounting the transducer directly into reinforced GRP bonded to hull.
Grateful for any input on whether this is good/bad/daft idea. Thanks in advance.
