Mount VolvoPenta V8 Diesel with Bmw MK2 stern drive

Hi.

I wounder if anyone have experience with exchanging a petrol BMW engine with A Diesel Volvo Penta?
Is it possible to use the BMW Mk2 stern drive with Volvo penta?

The reason i ask, is that i just bought a Scand S 26, with the BMW setup, and what i can tell by scanning the internet, is taht the Mk2 seems to be sturdy and can take alot of torqe?
And as i have a Diesel from a previous project it would be really nice to fit this to the Scand

Curious about which Volvo diesel .... as I have not heard about a V8 diesel from them in the marine market ... and my concern would not just be the torque on the drive ... but also the weight of a large V8 diesel on the stern of the Scand 26, which to my memory is pretty slim ...
