Mount Gay

The only thing I put in rum, apart from ice, is Shrub. Not always easy to find, but worth the hunt. Coke is fine for taking the taste of Barcardi away, or cleaning metallic implements. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yup.

I landed up on the beach on Verdigris caye after getting off Hunters which was "dry".
A few punches got the mood right and a couple of us decided to stay on Verdigris for a couple of days and fly back to Airport camp instead of getting the boat.
Had a wonderful time... this was before the place was discovered by the tourist industry.

I once sailed a bosun dinghy from St Georges to Caye Caulker and kipped overnight wrapped up in the main sail after a couple of bottles of One barrel. Not a tourist on the island, i bet its a bit different now !

A mate on the pontoon here said he used to drink rum and milk in Oz, has anyone tried this or is he just winding me up.

Only One Barrel? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Back in 78 I had 10 wonderful weeks on St Georges Cay running diving courses.
Also managed a few dives off Lighthouse Cay and fly (helicopter) over the Blue Hole en-route. Fantastic /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Great product, unfortunate name! I once was navigator on a boat in the Fort Lauderdale to Key West race, sponsered by Mount Gay. The race was a breeze, the two days of post race partying in Key West nearly killed me!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

True story. Common down in the colonies.
Hot or cold, quite yummy.
