Mouldy old boat

So I made a grave mistake this year by not putting a dehumidifier on the boat and as a result have mould issues on fabrics and linings.

The mould is the typical blackspot type. Does anyone know of a magic product that will remove this from fabrics without burning holes?

Dettol mould and mildew spray works well for me. I used it just last week on some cushions on the boat that had many black mildew spots on the white stripes. Now they’ve all disappeared.

Starbrite mould remover worked well for me on a mouldy retractable boot cover in an estate car, I was impressed. Less so on soft fabrics like curtains.

I used starbright and to my surprise it was amazing stuff.
In fairness all starbright stuff is dear but it all seems to do the job which can’t be said for others.

I suggest trying a steam cleaner and minimal but mild chemicals and using stronger chemicals only if found necessary.

At the weekend I used ''Demon Fabric'' sparingly with a steam cleaner on carpet on the boat and the results were good (but no mould as I did use the dehumidifier this winter).

I found white distilled vinegar great for porous materials. Of course the smell is a bit off putting until it's aired out but the mould never came back either. I have had some disastrous failures with some mould removers especially when it got onto some vinyls

I did the same thing and basically abandoned ship due to the excessive rain. Consequently paying for it with mould on some of the fabric.
I am getting good results with Vanish Gold Carpet Spray Foam available in Tesco's etc. It sprays about a bit, so don't be trigger happy.
Gentle scrub with a brush and a couple of applications. Also very good on car upholstery.

Barretine brush cleaner works remarkably well without any killer fumes.

Thanks guys, I will trying some of the less aggressive potions listed above first then if no joy try the bleach type affairs after, failing that I'll have a new foam mattress cover made
