Motor Brushes

Anybody know where I can get a set of new brushes for the lift motor on my volvo 280 drive - at a sensible price that is!

From the distant past a memory vaguely suggests that the motor is from something very mundane in the Electrolux range.ie a hoover or washing machine thingy and maybe a visit to the local hoover shop may give results.Other than that it has got to be Keyparts.Most brushes now seem to be in the 20.00 quid range for this sort of brush.

Your right. The motor was made by Elctrolux of Sveeedeen. If you go to a motor rewinding co, no find one in the yellow pages, they'll be able to supply them for penny's./ Might even fit them for you if you ask nicely.

ReA bit like

the time I needed a rear brake caliper for a early lotus esprit.Lotus price off the scale.Learned that brake pad was same part No as a Fiat car.Went to local Fiat dealer and bought caliper for 30% of Hethal cost.Exactly the same bit but used upside and rotated thru 180 degrees on Lotus.

Re lotus.

In order to be a proper stinky you need a long previous history of owning unreliable difficult to maintain gear that keeps you broke and fed up,hence Lotus. started with S2 elan and then assorted elites eclats esprits and a selection of excels.Mixed up in there for a bit of variety festered a couple of ginettas and a a piper.Boating just seemed the next step/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
