Motion Sickness

Prior to stepping on board:
Don't be tired.
Have a bellyful of food, but empty bladder.
Don't be cold

If above fails, then the usual, ginger, or sturgen etc

I have never heard of eating a river fish as being A Cure for seasickness?

I was always told that the best cure was to sit under a tree.

If you haven't taken anti histamines or sturgeron and suddenly find yourself ill. Rooibos /Red Bush tea will settle the queasy stomach at least and so hugely speeds up acclimatisation. No wives tale in this. I weaned a cholic son on this and swear by it.

ginger nuts, full fat coca cola and keeping busy. time aboard also reduces the anxiety that can be a cause too.

Stay towards the aft end of the boat where pitching movement is reduced and keep your eyes focussed on the horizon

SSit facing forwards where you can see the horizon, be busy and alert. Find your self a job to do, or invent one. What you don't do, is go down stairs, to a bed. And lay down. Driving the boat is best,so you can see what's coming. ACtivaty is the key.
