Hmmm ..... yet again you have made no attempt to justify your "tight bends are best" assertion. I give up as I suspect that you are simply trolling. Chrishelen and any others who are interested will make their own minds up about whether your advice has any value.

Take a compass and draw an arc measure length of arc
Increase the radius and redraw and measure the length of that arc
The increased radius gives a greater length of arc
In the same way increasing the radius of the bend in the cable will increase the length that the inner cable drags against the outer cable and increases the effort required to operate the control.
