My Morse MT-3 control slips back to idle when set at the lower end of the rev range, infuriating! I've been looking for guidance on how to adjust the lever friction to prevent this slippage but the Morse manual is silent on the subject. A US forum suggests that there is no friction adjustment with the only option being to apply a "cable brake" near the terminus to increase cable friction, that seems like a pretty inelegant solution. Has anyone else suffered this problem and found a solution?

TIA

Rob

is there not a grub screw behind the lever.
another alternative is as stated fit a wire cable clamp to the cable to add friction

yes there is, split the head and at the top is a series of flat pieces of spring steel. Obtain another piece from a lock smith and insert.

Job done.

Helps make up for the track the ball wears into the throttle quadrant.
