Morse control on a small OB motor?

There is a remote connection kit available for that engine. If it takes Morse cables, you then just need a mechanical control like a yacht inboard type. Plus cables of suitable length of course.

Why worry about Vevor? You don't have to use them.
Not to worry about them, of course. The interest is because they are cheap. As I said, I cannot vouch for that product, I’ve never seen it, just knew it existed. The company themselves are legit, though.

So the cheapest option seems to be this Honda Twin Lever Control Box & Control Cables 8ft Thru 20ft – Pacermarine

£111 for the control AND the cables, just need to add the remote control kit for the engine for another £64

The question become now the cheap option with separate levers for throttle and gear, or the more expensive control to get single lever throttle and gear. I guess that comes down to preference?

Yeah. People been doing it for years. Some or most of the old Yamaha outboards had a hole in the gear lever, for exactly this purpose. To attach a cable to.

I used to have a copy of a Practical Boat Owner edition from the last fifteen years, in which the 'practical projects' section included a very neat set of outboard controls that a chap had designed and fabricated from sheet stainless. It was a small outboard and I think he'd made the controls himself because nothing suitable was available off the shelf.

It didn't look like one would need to be enormously skilled to replicate the work. I'd be surprised if nobody here remembers the article.

Meanwhile, here's a different article from 2016 which might help:
Remote control for a small auxiliary outboard - Practical Boat Owner
