Morse Control Broken

Below are pics of the Morse unit on a Jeanneau SO 34.2 (1999) and try as I might, I cannot identify the model or name of the unit to allow me to source a spare part (hopefully). If anyone can identify the model / name I'd be grateful.

As to the broken bit, it is the small metal bracket that the middle cable (didn't look to see if it is the throttle or gear change) just to the left of the red cable sheath.

If anyone knows of a supplier where I might obtain this (and what it's called) it would be helpfull as I've not been able to contact SeaStar Solutions at the moment.

Thanks

It looks like teleflex

Hi. I am a Newbie.

I had the same problem with my controller. It is badged as a Solimar, fitted to a Beneteau. I could engage gear but the throttle would not function. My solution was to weld the bracket and join the top section of the bend to the middle section so that the 'P' Clip could still be used. Much stronger than the original and with a good coating of grease should give a long term solution.

Hi
We have an SO34.2 and have suffered the same fate. I discovered it when our throttle cable broke again this year (only replaced last year after another cable broke), adds a little excitement to med mooring!

So with a bit of research it would seem pre 2004 Goiot models have a narrow (25mm) support tube, post 2004 it has been oversized to allow for a kinder bend radius of the cables and less stress on the retainer.
The article here http://www.jeanneau-owners2.com/hintsandtips/id226.htm shows a clever fix involving crimping a larger tube down to 25mm so it still fits through the pedestal base and milling out the hole in the controls body to fit. I'm going to contact some local engineering firms to see if they can do this or maybe just fit a small length of 25mm in the larger tube at the bottom and resin it in position. Shouldn't be a problem to get the milling done (I hope). Also buying the more expensive and more flexible cables.

Hope the shared info helps.
