Morse Code: new phonetic alphabet help required

Of course, all we boaties know the phonetic alphabet. It goes alpha bravo charlie delta and so on. But I think it could be better. How about a phonetic alphabet that would remind you of Morse code? There is something like this - a mnemonic alphabet, but it's quite jumbled.

Here's an example: in the new Morse Code, "A" isn't alpha - it's replaced by "Apart". This is cos the word "a-part" has two syllables, the first short, the second is long - the same as the morse code for A.

I have so far settled on "Higgly-piggly" for H (which is four shorts) and handily U is already "uniform" - two shorts and a long. Charlie-Farlie for C is not bad either. But I need more help for the others.

When I was a "cub" I was taught a system that had reputedly been devised by Frank Gilbreth. The only letter I still remember was C - 'Careless Children'. There is a reference to it <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.troop97.net/bshb_ed0.htm>HERE</A>: evidently it wasn't very politically correct.

Think they ought to have a nautical theme, which rather scuppers charlie-farlie and higgly- piggly (I think).

We used to have several of these - most of which I've forgotten (age?)
'E' is eh?
'B' is beautiful day
'Q' is God save the Queen
Haven't used morse for so long - why the sudden interest?

We used to teach morse code to the scouts by using the following mnemotecnic: every syllable with the "o" in it, would be a dash, all the rest are dots:
A- au-to: ._
B- bok-ken-wa-gen: _...
C- Co-ca-co-la: _._.
D: Dok-wer-ker: _..

There were lots of variants, such as "A for Gardner". But the one they all had in common was "P for relief".

Looking at the suggested mnemonics, I reckon that it would be easier to just remember the Code.
