Hiya. There are a couple of choices and some Ive been in. In order down the coast:

Mohammedia. Rickety pontoons when I last stopped, yacht cub. Industrial port. Didnt go ashore.

Rabat. Not been but a friend of mine rates it highly despite bashing his yacht on the way in. He didnt take advantage of the marina guide. He reckons ashore is great.

Essouria has a single pontoon, hard to get a berth. Mebbe rafting outside Cafe Sam. Smelly fishing harbour but fascinating.

Agadir. Full service Marina. was very good on my last visit, got the lot with east transport gor sightseeing.....and British Moroccan Sport Bar for football!

Then is a simple 230 miles direct across to Lanza once you clear the pot markers!

All those have Harbour Officials, Customs, Immigration and Police. Make sure you visit them in and out. :encouragement:

Canarian Marinas now doing the yearly getting full thing too.

Hope this helps.

Rabat is excellent - very professional and well set up and the city itself is a great experience to visit.

The bar is quite something even at high tide (and you need enter fairly close to that) so you need to call the marina first and they will send out a boat to guide you in. Heavy onshore swell, forget it but the first 50 miles out from the coast has little or no NE trade wind.

Well worth a visit but doesn’t take a huge amount out of the trip.

I you have the time it's also an excellent place to leave the boat to visit more of Morocco, the nearby train station having great connections to Fez - we did a day-trip there - Marrakesh etc. that said far and away our favourite city/bazaar in the whole of Morocco - perhaps because it's not on the 'tourist route'? - was Rabat itself.
