Morecombe bay livestock

Well not really a sailing question but while heading up to Scotland in me camper. Stopped off near morecombe, just because, looking forward to some morecombe bay prawns, shrimps and cockles could I find any. No No And No sir . The last place i asked was a lady selling ice cream on the front and she said she has lived there for 4 years and hasn't had one yet....is it all a make believe. ?
