Great, come back from work late and sky not getting a signal due to storms I am sure. Any kind soul have a dvd recorder and care to record the programme this evening ???? Serious request !!!! Apologies for the multiple posting . time is of the ssence for this one !

Hang on, my dad's got a freeview interface to his laptop, says he can record onto dvd on that. He's checking it out at the moment. If no one else volunteers we may be able to sort something out.

When I say storage I mean an entire containers worth of household goods shut up in a warehouse - not just stuck in the loft unfortunately...

What was the cause of the friction in the begining ?? it was something about going the wrong side of finish buoy in the practice race wasn't it ? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I think there was a pre-race race, and history showed that whoever won it didnt win the actual race. I think Alex was winning, and ducked out so as not to win, and Mike Golding took great exception to this act.

Why did mike get so upset ?? Seems a storm in a teacup . /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

how do you think these people win races over thousands of miles. They don't sit there and cruise the whole way. They barely sleep, constantly tweeking things. They are competitive.

Just reread your post Richard .It makes sense now . About losing the prerace race I mean .

I would consider it cheating. Same as pulling the favourite up short in a horse race.

When I raced dinghies it was very common for the leader of a championship practice race to 'throw' it at the finish - superstition held by many that the winner of the practice would have bad luck in the real series.
