More than a pencil rack

My boat has a shallow step on the way down from the wheelhouse to the saloon. The top of it is a hinged lid and it forms a very handy space for storing tools or what have you.

Don't forget to go out for a spin - even if just a little one - while you're next at the boat. Remember, you want to have a to-do list for your boat, not a boat for a to-do list!

Check the diameter of your favourite pencils before you do anything else!
Very sound advice. And make it deeper than you think necessary. The pencil dividers and stopwatch holder that my father made in 1973 has gone with me from boat to boat because the pencil and dividers holes are a couple of inches deep.
