You dont really believe anything you read in the newspapers do you (especially the Guardian - that bastion of political corectness)?

Does the fact that Ransome was actually a journalist for the Guardian not ring any warning bells

Not forgetting that if you want a job in local government or the BBC, you will only find them advertised in the Guardian - ring any more bells?

Ransome worked for the Manchester Guardian during the editorship of CP Scott. Quite a different thing to today's Grauniad, just as today's Times bears no relation to the real thing either.
