OK as HLB said this is DIY television. To help relieve the "boredom" feelings expressed by some I'm posting a few more sunny pics. Hope you like them, sorry to those who might be getting bored by repeat mediterranean pics but at least they're better than Argonaut's brother's kitchen pics :) These are mostly recent, last month or two anyway:

Small Wallypower screaming along. There are 2 of of these whizzing around SofF, the other has a ruby red metallic hull, no photos of it sorry

Gorgeous machine accelerating out of monaco harbour. Droool!

One of Nautical's favourites again, the Evo Deauville 70-something flybr. I quite like it, but wouldn't put it on my faves list.
IMG_4533.jpg

Another shot of the Evo Deauville taken 10mins later. Unfortunately, just as I pressed the camera button, an Azimut reversed into the empty berth and got in the way of my shot. Don't you just hate it when that happens? :)

A flybridge cat that has been in Antibes all summer. Gludy stuff. Kinda nice, but they pay a big price for the flybr in terms of a very high boom and loss of sail area and/or increase in centre of gravity. Fabulous deck spaces though. It's a Yapluka 65 called Imagine Heaven, charterable here.
Also there's a p35 in background, for HLB. There are a couole of these regularly around, one's called Magnum. I've got a pic somewhere, will try to find it and edit...

Edit - here is the P35 Magnum (old photo)

And the other Magnum!

Another nice speed machine

Crew hanging my anchor ball very shipshapely. Do you like my new "dress down policy" crew uniforms? Chose them myself, I did. They're very practical. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

These Sevylor kayaks are fab. Loads of fun and you can go right up to beaches where motors aren't allowed. Highly recommended, under £300 for the new "Colorado" model in the foreground. The one behind is an older discontinued model. Houghn and Magnum both went out and bought Sevylors this summer too

Unfortunate Azi accident. Big Azis seem a bit unlucky - there was that 116 version of this that went down in Florida, and a 90 version in Antibes nearly sank in august. I dont know exactly what happened to the one in this pic, it's on the web somewhere. Spain i think

That's all for now!

More great pics, jfm.

Meanwhile in the UK, everyone's whining about the weather but Monday was pretty tranquil and QUIET.

Well, I must admit to cheating a bit. I was on my own, so I knocked off the power before nipping out the back to take the picture.

You're absolutely right about the location: the South Cardinal is "Camber". I was on my way back from a brief trip to Bembridge.

Christ, thats a scruffy P35. Nothing like the sleek elligant Mucky Farter.

They've been taking me toofs out again, think you've missed your way in life, costs a bloody fortune for 15 minutes with a bloke and a pair of pliers. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Is that a Bulgarian flag, flying on the sinking Azi?
If so, I wonder if it's just incidental that the first Bulgarian boat I've ever seen has troubles in staying afloat...

I'm not sure whether it's a scruffy p35 or not; I can't bear to look at the picture for more than a second becuase of that bloke's bum cleavage :)

The Azimut 105 is called Freedom, and ran aground in the Romazino Bay in Sardinia, after probably hitting a rock, or reef which is very common in the area. Note: she hit the rock, and filled up very fast, and when the coast guards arrived her aft section was deep in the water.
Two days later she was at Porto Cervo Marina, with floating airbags on her aft to keep her from sinking.

We'll strictly speaking, not looking out over the Solent, Solent is the area west of Cowes/Calshot, west towards Yarmouth.

Call me a pedant!

Nice pics.

I missed the edit and I can't believe I just looked back to see what you were talking about. Had to have another look at the (floating) Azimut to make myself feel better again. [ QUOTE ]

Yes indeed it is a Bulgarian flag! I've never seen one of those on a boat any other time

The sunk azi is called Freedom. I just googled and it turns out the sinking was in Romazino Bay, Sardinia. Near Porto Cervo, if I recall correctly? Not a million miles from you Mapis

Edit - ah, i just see massiweb posted the same info. Here's another pic...

Blimey, thanks, i never knew that. You learn something new every day here (in addition to looking at bum cleavage). I always took "Solent" to mean roughly from the Needles to Bembridgidge-ish. So it's only the left-hand half then?

Yup, not that far, but I've not been onboard during August, so I couldn't keep up with the latest news of the island.
According to yachtspotter, apparently they managed to keep her afloat...

i just thought i should balance up the bum cleavage shots for the girl forumites and boy forumites. Though, i think the boys are getting the better deal so far... (sorry Powerskipper and all the girls /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Yup. Yachtspotter didn't do a great job on posting pictures tho?

Anyway here's a reminder old pic of the Azi 116 that crunched in the mouth of Port Everglades marina. Was about 2005 I think. The boat was hull#1 of the 116, called "TV" though her name was never written on the transom. i dont have a pic of the Azi 90 that sank (only partially) in Antibes this summer

Same thing than the 105 happened to a Sunseeker in august, passing near St Honorat (but they had more luck... no sinking!): I took the pictures from the promenade in the island:
