Re: more photos of paladin\'s refit

Not scared at all. That looks like a normal spring for the wooden boat owner. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Yesterday morning I had five holes in the bottom of TG! Today none! It all comes back together ........... eventually. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: more photos of paladin\'s refit

well, its coming along. Sideways pictures now little ones. Can you make them a bit bigger?

Have you set a deadline for completion? Or at least a get it into the water and sail/restore as you go along sort of date?

Re: more photos of paladin\'s refit

There doesn't seem to be any structural worries/work - like you say, more systems and cosmetics. I hope to have her on the water by mid to end July.

The electrics are pretty much done and tested. I bought an electrical kit from Merlin electronics who have been really good and it was simple (but labour intensive) to install. I do have an issue with 2 wires comming out of the bulkhead. I cant see or get too where they go....when I attach the + and - to the battery, sparks fly...yet when I change the polarity (i.e. + on - and visa versa, no sparks) why???

Hot and cold pipework is in but the calorofier is above the engine, so have to figure out how to get round that?

I am resurfacing the galley with formica which i am finding hard to work with - particulary cutting it. It tends to split.

I have tried to restore the Taylor stove (pressurised parafin) and had a bit of a fright lighting it! but seems to work ok now I have got he hang of it

The Taylors heater is a disaster - am thinking about taking it out - it lights and the flue gets red hot but thats about it i.e. very little heat from the unit itself?

The yard are flow-coating the inside hull for me - which is going well. Brilliant stuff - but once on, its on....

The list is endless....
