Anyone else heading over for this? 6th - 12th May.

Since I now have the names of the ports and islands my fleet will be visiting I'd like to get the chart. Does anyone have advice regarding charts for this area? Any recommendations?

There is a farily recent SHOM chart with a lot of corrections with respect to the former one (mud banks, new hydrographic data, etc):

The chart has a few Tidal diamonds which are ok, for a lot more detailed view the Tidal Stream atlas has an inset specifically covering the Gulf of Morbihan. If you plan to go adventurous some more details are nice to have, especially for eddies and countercurrents.

558-UJA - Côte Sud de Bretagne, d'Audierne au Croisic - 2005

I have the Imray chart as well, the Gulf of Morbihan detailed plan is... basic.

We went over there two years ago but for 3 weeks.
We found the most useful paper charts were contained in the bloc marine publication.
Being a tight arse we tore them out and laminated them.
We also had imray on a stick on the notebook.
Will look them out for you.

We are thinking of a return visit next year but May is bit too early for us.
We didn't launch in Morbihan. Prefer the freshwater of Vilaine . Pm me an e mail address and I can give you a bit of info.

plus a copy of the Atlantic France pilot (Imray) would cover you.
Islands a fabulous experience.
Well worth getting up to Vannes too, whilst you're there - you're berthed right outside the mediaeval walls with music and sights all around you.
The Auray River is another experience again. Especially if you take a copy of George Millar's Oyster River to read.
Some (many) pictures on here from two visits this summer: www.allatseawithstargazer.blogspot.co.uk (Posts 44-50 for Islands, Posts 74 -77 for Auray River, Posts 78 - 84 for Vannes).
Happy Cruising!
