Does anyone know how deep the moorings are on the left as you go up river opposite the Showboat. Have seen a few boats moored there and if the lock Island moorings are full this maybe an option. I can recall seeing the hotel barge Active moored there some time ago just before the lock cut.

Thanks

I've moored there and the depth is ok its shallow within a metre of the bank but falls away quickly, biggest problem though is the very low bank which makes it difficult to fender and then get on and off. Generally wouldn't reccomend it only good for a quick lunch stop.

talking of moorings around that way, has anyone moored at the mooring just upstream of Bisham abbey. There are signs there saying mooring £5, but never seen boats there, just fisherman.
It looks like a quiet alternative to mooring overnight in Marlow and wondered if there was access there to walk into Bisham

Magna Carta was moored there yesterday (Sunday) - I assume she has a reasonable draught.

i noticed on the weekend that there is tape running along the bank to keep the animals away which could prove a pain for getting on and off the boat.
