Hi. I've a mate who has tired of 6 knot tides just upriver of Tilbury Grain Terminal and is looking to get a swinging mooring on the south bank of the Blackwater, ideally Bradwell.

Has anyone any idea who to approach?

Many thanks
Greg Dunn

The buoys in Bradwell creek are managed I think exclusively, by the Bradwell Outdoor Centre

I looked for a mooring in the creek a couple of years ago and they managed to come up with one quite quickly, although it was very exposed, so I declined. Good luck with it, and I know others will be along with other suggestions, one of which will be I believe Marconi SC a bit further upriver.

We'd love to meet your friend down at Marconi. We're all out of deep water moorings at the moment (although we can probably sort something out if he doesn't mind swapping around to start off with) There are some drying moorings left too. Details at www.marconi-sc.org.uk

East Coast Piers Race this weekend in aid of Cirdan Trust starting at Marconi SC at 0800 Sunday - fast cats only I'm afraid! Good spectacle going up the wallet though
