Hey folks, Its been a while.... Ive been in Australia!

Just bought myself a 2006 Jeanneau cap camarat 565 wa

looking to possibly moor in in Torquay harbour, ive never kept a boat on a mooring before as they have always been on the drive.

On there website it states £66.66 per year the boat is 6.5m long this amounts to £433.29 see link below?

Availability?

possibly yes.

That figure is for the boat park, not afloat, and I think that storage ashore is at Galmpton on the Dart.

Ok, ive searched and searched google for that info, I knew it was in the region of but didn't know for sure..

The boat was my uncles and i was selling it for him (since decided to buy it myself) i had loads of people saying it was to big for there 6m mooring and they were planning to change the number on the hull.

I'm still going to go down to the boat tomo with a tape measure!

Muchos thanks Sarabande :)

I am in Torquay Marina, and the inner harbour has come up in conversation. Apparently it is for local residents only- you need to have a TQ postcode and be able to prove it. Not sure whether this is still the case though.

At that sort of cost I would seriously think about towing the boat or storing it on a trailer locally and launching each time from Brixham it has a very good slipway

What about Uphill Boat Centre at Weston, I think that's where I'm going to end up for cost reasons, or Watchet Marina where I used to be. Both Bristol Channel but probably nearer to you.

Mmmmm, let me see. Muddy brown fast flowing waters, or crystal clear water with sandy beaches and lovely anchorages............:D

There were spaces available in the inner harbour, but I'm fairly sure they are limited to TQ1 or TQ2 postcodes. It is also behind a cill, which is quite limiting dependant on state of tide.

MDL marinas have space in Torquay and Brixham currently also. Brixham is a little cheaper than Torquay.

Maybe give them all a ring and get them to quote prices.

Thanks for all your info peeps...

ive since decided not to moor the boat, instead ive bout a 2004 toyota avensis with 200k on the clock for £450 with added breakdown cover haha

It worked out much cheaper when i only need to run the car for summer months :)
