Hi there
I have a swinging mooring in salt water in a loch in west Scotland. The loch bay doesn't get super rough.
I currently have some 10mm chain with in a loop of hose down at the buoy and at the yacht there are two loops in the cleats held by d-shakes. The bump is taken care of by some rope.
Basically the loop at cleat one is one length of chain looped down to the buoy then back up to cleat two.
I think this isn't really good enough and I'd be really appiciate some advice. I've been told I need some 16mm chain to start of with.
I've also thought of two lengths of chain and d-shackled loops down at the buoy instead. A 3.5 ton 28ft yacht.
Cheers.
