I have been given a new berth for the new boat which is on a fixed (i.e. non-floating ) pontoon. As Windermere occasionally goes up by 10 foot overnight , it seems sensible to set up a pulley as well as slack spring lines. As I haven't had to do this before, 2 questions .For a F46 Sealine , any thoughts on how many and how heavy the pulley weights should be,the marina is sheltered and the predominate wind pushes her on to her berth.
Secondly , my thoughts were for the non-stern mooring rope(s) to use a dangling "clean" rope to cleat off onto the dirty pulley system to avoid the dirty ropes marking the hull.Is this sensible or is there an easier way?
Thanks in advance
Rob
