I am a rag and stick man so I do not Know your boat. Is it moderately seaworthy? If so from where you live I would be going somewhere like Levington marina on the Orwell. You can stay on that river if the sea/weather is bad and go to Wolverstone, Pin Mill (one of the best pubs you can go to by boat anywhere) , up to Ipswich or down to Shotley marina or Harwich. You also have the Stour. If weather ok the Deben is one of the most picturesque rivers in the country with plenty of places to go. Then you can trip down the coast to Walton Backwaters and further afield. Mooring charges are cheaper than the Thames and so are pub/restraunt prices. It is easier to get to from where you are. If you are interested and want more info send a PM. How about the Norfolk Broads? Can get busy at times but most of the time ok. Happy boating.Paul
