Swmbo is trying to get me to buy a Victor 40. It draws 6ft and means we'll have to downsize the house again. I may still loose the agruement.

Does anyone know of a reasonable priced mooring for it?

Fambridge is very expensive, espesially as it's so far up the river. I'm told Rice and Cole have maintained moorings at £500 pa but they may not be able to accomodate a 40 footer. I'm waiting for them to get back to be.

Any other ideas, knowledgable ones?

I think ABP Ipswich can be dealt with direct but I believe prefer to sub contract management of different moorings to clubs/marinas on the river - mine is dealt with by the PMSC at Pin Mill, then Suffolk Yacht Harbour those further down, etc. I think there's a waiting list for most deep water moorings so best to find a waiting list to get on soon...

Rice and Cole was 1400 quid for my 35ft 3 years ago....and they won't be able to crane you over the wall.
