Just paid my 2008 - swinging mooring in Poole with free water taxi - £1000 for a 41' - not bad! How does it compare with elsewhere?

Castle Marinas, the new owners of Birdham Pool in Chichester Harbour (previously owned by Brian Peters) have advised berth holders of a 20% increase for the coming year, citing it's still good value and comparable with other marinas in the Harbour it terms of value, albeit with limited facilities.

Thought the days of "money grabbing b......." was past, but not so sure

Just had our bill in from Haslar /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Any more swinging moorings around?

Yup - we will be laying 40 moorings this Spring. Cost - about £500 - £600 for a nine year lease, plus an annual service charge of about £80.

Erm... about a grand and a half for a 22 footer on the Beaulieu River. About 1/2 metre of water at LWS, no taxi service and about an hour down river to the Solent.

Yes I know; I'm absolutely barking. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
