Sorrento and the Wharf ? That's like comparing Boris to Corbyn ! Been a long time punter of the Wharf since the Lone Star days. In fact used to live next to it. I no longer go there as the menu never changes and it lost its character when they went all PVC. As for Sorrento. See my thread on restaurant reviews.
As a hire boat you will always be able to moor in the lock cut above Tedd as well as Kingston opening up many more options to that of Hampton Court. You will have to pass HC on way to Kingston and Tedd anyhow so the choices are many.
