I have had one of these on the boat for years and use it occasionally a good simple piece of kit IMHO, On one occasion it held me too successfully to my mooring with sail up, so, stronger than it looks.

Recently I lost the gate and rope (The whole think floats but not the rope and gate) , phoned them today, new one in the post F.O.C. They said they would charge next time :) (basically P&P) Very impressed. Just a satisfied customer.

Glad to hear of good service.

I bought mine at a boat jumble as new at a good price, they had obviously never used it as if they had they would not of sold it. Not normally one for gimmicky kit but it works well and when you can make difficult situations easier.

I'm also impressed by the company. I managed to break part of the hinge mechanism ... I dropped the outboard engine on it ... and they sent a FOC replacement.

I find the product a bit hit and miss, it's impossibe to pick up a floating mooring bouy, it simply gets pushed away, but any buoy with a ring in it is really easy and saves my crew having to lie on the foredeck, with their head through the pulpit, across a cleat, trying to push the mooring line through the ring with one hand, pull it through with the other hand and hold onto the boat with the other hand. :D

My crew doesn't lie on the foredeck, she lies on the side deck, which is more comfortable, or as she would say, less uncomfortable, and less far to reach.

Bay 34 by floating mooring buoy I presume you mean a small pick up buoy rather than the main buoy. Boat hook for that for me.

The Moorfast is definitely of most use through a ring or cleat.

Indeed, but I have seen people prodding away at the small pick up buoy in vain.

Hmmm. I guess they're the sort of people who would prod away with the wrong end of the MooRFasT pole. Like the chairman of my parish council, of whom his own mum says "He doesn't even know which end of a screwdriver to hold...."
