I'm currently looking at the Moody's, specifically the Moody 47. The Moody's aren't as well known over here in the states. I'd appreciate comments, editorials, etc. on quality, performance, any issues, with Moody and specifically the 47. Also, comparable builders would be helpful.

Thanks

I'd like to point out that this hasn't been my experience. My Moody 29 is over 20 years old yet I was able to order replacement parts for it from Moody's which arrived within a couple of days (I have to say they were toerail bolted stanchion bases that they probably still used on recent boats). They were also helpful when I had a query regarding the cabin sole supports and when tracing history. I didn't purchase the boat from their brokerage.

I can't say that this would be everyones experience with Moody or whether this is a normal level of service from manuafacturers as it's my first boat of this type but I am certainly pleased with it.

Cheers

Gavin

I don´t agree at all!

I own a 25 years old Moody 42 since 3 years. I been in touch with Moody´s several times for getting spares and technical support.
I must say the service been absolutely superb! Promt answers and they really take their time to help!
- Despite the fact I have such an old second hand yacht, not even bought from their brokerage.
