I have just bought a nice Moody 422 with a Thorneycraft 98, 50 hp, but would like to know what is the gear ratio for a that engine. I will install a 3 blade flexifold prop. on her instead of the fix 3 blade.

Where can I find the figures.???

There's usually a plate on the gearbox with make & model, should be able to get the info from any gearbox supplier or makers web site. Alternatively, join the MOA, someone there should have any info you need about the boat.

Nice boat, have a look into Gori propellers before you purchase the overdrive is fantastic. A friend has it on there HR 42/48

I believe that Thornycroft fitted the Hurth gearbox in the M422.

The manual is available on-line if you Google. I have a copy in pdf format but the file size is too large for uploading through this forum.

If you haven't already done so, join the moody owners association. The best £20 per year you will spend if you own a Moody.
