Hi
I want to have all the reefing lines led back to the cockpit on a moody 27 and install a lazy jack system with a stack pack.

Does anyone know roughly how much this would cost and is there anyone in the poole area that could do this.

Any help appreciated

regards

Suggest you look at the Barton website as they sell all the fittings. There are different ways of doing it, particularly choice or single or two line reefing. Usually a DIY job, so suggest you look at other similar boats to see how it can be done. Most sailmakers will make your stackpack. Crusader, Kemp and Quay Sails are all local to Poole and will be competitive on price.

Barton kits are way overpriced when you can buy all the necessary lazyjack bits off the shelf. Cost of leading lines aft will be cheaper if you can utilise the mast based winches. Are you a member of the MOA? If not, well worth joining for the member's forums and tech help, someone there has most likely done the job on a 27 before.

But he also needs turning blocks, deck organizers, clutches, boom blocks and possibly winches. Lazy jacks are small beer and if he has Kemps for example make the stack pack they will include them.

Alan,

If you are a member of the Moody Owners Association have a look in the technical library under your marque, there is probably a few articles that will answer your question, or someone who has already done it who can advise

Cheers
