Monitor windwane, chain falls off when adjusting the the endless line

As stated in the title, the chain falls off and slides down the shaft when trying to adjust the course using the endless line.
Seems to happens mostly when I do major course adjustments.
Any ideas to what the reason may be.

The chain is too loose you beed to remove a lnk or fit a connecting link

not a problem but mine is a copy of a monitor made by some one local to me and modified by me to all an auxiliary rubber
