Mold / mildew on cushions

Phil Byatt AQUARIUS Plymouth 07887 953963 did a great job of cleaning my cushions. The zips were seized up so he broke the zips then repaired them. Dried out the foam and soaked the covers in a mould spray cleaner and vanish. I was stunned to find he got almost all the stains off. Also found what I thought was condensation was sea water getting in from the anchor locker. Nathen bone ltd did a fantastic job fitting a new bulkhead.

Is your dehumidifier any good? We recently switched ours and you can feel the dry air, helps with the heating too.
I've borrowed a steam cleaner / traditional methods and this has saved previous items from being binned.

Yes I have a very good Meaco humidifier but this would be difficult to use in the small forward berth. All bed The sea water getting in was the major problem but the cushions under my pillow still get black spots and the 1/4 berth gets very wet. I never cook with the hatch closed.I need to air these 2 places more but is very difficult in a winter like this last one with so much rain. The meaco does a brilliant job in the saloon and is a main source of my heating with also a 3k fan heater. Basically as a livaboard I need to live in a warmer country but don't think I can afford to.
