Modern Bilge Pumps?

Does anyone have one of these type of engine-driven bilge pumps, any feedback ?. They seem relatively expensive, but I'll bet we would be happy to have it if the floor boards start floating !

A belt driven Jabsco. I had one with a manual clutch which needed regular adjustment and replacement. The clutch is held in a clamp ring which has to be moved round as it wears, wear depends on engagement speed/ frequency. Replaced in 2003 with the electric clutch model, about £400 at the time. 1", it chucks a lot of water, about forty feet with the hose pinched. My situation is unfortunate in that the engine pulley is of limited diameter, half the size of that on the pump, so it could easily do twice the work running the same revs as the engine, but then, twice the wear. The clutch (same as car aircon) doesn't seem to wear out, but I did have to rebuild the internals, bearings and seals last year, £150 or so. Good for an emergency, but it will fail when the water reaches the belts or electrics. Also good if the engine raw water pump fails, I once came home with the deckwash running through the engine. I once had a small one running a water cooled exhaust on an air cooled engine. You can fit a morse cable to engage the manual clutch, with a bit of fabrication.
