Mochi Craft 35 Fly Dominator

From my recollection very well built boats ...

If it is the one I think about, she'll have Fiat (IVECO) straight six's.... AIFO Marinised ... a pretty good engine as far as I can remember ... but not sure about parts / service availability.

Also, does she have an electric galley, or is it a gas one ?

Hi Alf

..........Any idea of value?

Thanks

Tom

As much as you are willing to pay ... :)

Looking at pics ....

1) You OK with side deck entry to flybridge
2) VHF speaker on Fly looks a tad bodged
3) Not original table ... seem to recall this was a convertible dinette ...

4) Also missing that lower helm seat ..

Otherwise she looks OK for her age ... if all appears OK (and you are OK with 1) above), then she may be worth a try .... but you will have to decide how much it would cost you to get her to the standard you want ... and calculate that in to you offer price...

Someone else have to answer about the IVECO's, parts and service availability though ....

The guy was asking for 37K I was thinking more like under 30k, I am OK with the outside ladder , we used to have that on the coronet and I liked it, ,made you feel you are at sea,

Will check for Osmosis too,

I have two red ivecos, haven't needed parts yet, should be available for the engine, the marinization bits dunno. Generally looks well put together, accessible (at least in my installation). I think Latestarter doesn't rate them highly but hasn't said anything particularly nasty about them (iirc)

HOWEVER, do check the exhaust elbows for rust. Mine after 400h and 11yrs were not in good shape (read = scrap) I got pics to prove if you want, got to dig them.
What I'm saying is that assuming you're going to have her surveyed, get the surveyor to remove the flex exhaust pipe from the turbo and have a look at the elbow inside. I think it's 500-600quid each side (but I may be wrong)

cheers

V.
