If anyone feels that this is inappropriate content I will entirely understand but I know that many of us like some nice automotives and I'm not sure I can be bothered to post this in the bearpit.

Bjb, if you haven't already, you really should go to the monaco gp historique. Iirc it is on every other year, two weeks before the f1. A great spectacle.

Goodwood is a bit closer to home, and there is a fantastic array of machinery at the Revival.

I second this idea ... I've been to the last two and have just bought tickets for next year's event ... thoroughly worthwhile and not too expensive if you stay in Menton for a week and train/bus into Monte Carlo. Best place in the world for atmosphere and historic racing.
