Due to serious thread drift on Steve's post ... Sorry Steve.

Two planned events for August in the works. If you are planning on attending please let us know here or via pm.

15 to 16th August. Conwy high water ~ 11:25am - Bruce

Leave Saturday morning for Porth Wen, return Sunday morning. Overnight anchorage in bay, evening BBQ @ Old Brickworks.

Fallback:
In the event of a Northerly wind that would put a damper on overnight anchorage the fall back for those still interested would be Pilot's Cove

Sunday 30th August : Conwy high water ~ 11:05am - Kawasaki

Kwakers is celebrating his coming out party and is offering free drinks to all who can make Ty Coch Porthdinllaen for as long as his shallow pockets hold copper. Not saying he is a stingy old git, he already confessed as much.

Fallback:
None. (Kwakers?)

Details in his words

Hey Man
Is u clairvoiyant?
Only this Day One has been planning such soire!
Only 'like souls' are invited
IE - those that have shallow pockets and oodles of cash under the bed
Those that on a Whim will cast off to uncharted depths of alki holic disaster
And 'Chart' a course to said treasure chest of mirth and and and, three ands are better than one by the way, in fact two are are also an advantage
So
Tiss the Ty Coch
People of this venerable Forai, we speak of a Bay and Pub not too far away
Tis a sheltered cove in most conditions
Tiss a Gem of a Place
Tiss 'protected' by the National Trust
In that it won't change its fascade
A 'Fascade' ( on the face of it)' Bruce is just to protect the face of the Place
Facing up to Brucy boys post
The 'Plan' is to assemble an Armada of fellow boaters in the 'Ring Of Celts' yes Celts not ****s!!
That is above lat 53degs North although some 52's may be allowed in, should they pay an 'admittance fee' of, maybe a packet of Bensons and or a wine bottle er two like
Anyway
Said exbidition, like is aimed at the year of our lord 2015 in the month of Awst, to give peeps time to feck about and arrange fuel and make sure their grannies ar ok and they aint attendedin barmitsvers and all that crud
So like
I WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE TO ALL MOTORBOATERS AND SAILING WUNKERS THAT 'WE THE ,MOTORBOAT PEOPLE' OF THIS PARISH
There is a Plan to go to said Public Drinkin Establishement by the Sea - see
I will know Publish the Day of departure
Weather permitting
On or about the 30th of August 2015
Because that when swmbos cancer radiation treatment should be done with
I will buy the first two rounds in the Ty Coch for all assembled
And that's a First!!
Wot u reckon you swarthy lot?

Hi Bruce enjoyed our beer on Sunday night ,still wondering what the rose was for but still , I spoke to big wow he will come if some more raggies are goin ps give James a nod and Dan ,roy

I'm aiming for one at least! We get back off holiday on the tenth so it may be the later one, sorry Bruce!

I'm at the marina tomorrow, boat coming out for a simple bowthruster repair, although boats and simple never seem to go together!

Dan said he doesn't want to mix with the raggies and free beer from Kwaks has influenced his decision. Didn't you tell the lads you had an open inexhaustible fun box? What about the big open BBQ pit with a suckling pig on the spit you kept boasting of? Just keep mum about the dancing girls. Nobody wants to watch the Kwakers do his thang in a thong.

Yeah the rose. It was meant to butter Kwaks up but as he didn't show, I thought I'd settle.

I would imagine that if "port Wen" was to be untenable due to weather, so would "Pdiddle do dah"

In that case Aber menia would be better and would suit Kwacker more as it DOSENT have a pub for him to spend his I'll gotten gains.

Tom

tom is piddle do dah ,pilots cove

OK Gents (did I just say Gents!! kennel) here is the Script
swmbo starts Her radiation treatment on July the 30th
Should be over an done with by August the 15th ish
Then, I suppose a period of recuperation
So
Whatever gigs we get up to, will be dependant on Wifey's condition thereafter
So
Because She has other medical issues my and or our appearance at any of the aforementioned soires (spelling but yer knows what I mean) will depend on stuff I have just mentioned
So
There yer go
Innit
So
We are looking forward to a decent August 'Campaign' whether it be afloat
On a Boat I will spend more than a Groat
To get you lot alf pissed
A scene not to be missed!
It will be Our Pleasure to see you drink the measure
Your Nav properly u scurvey no hope boaters
And get to where you wannabee, Pilots Cove or The Ty Coch pub
Now then, heres the Rub
BruceK aint been anywhere, seastoke bumbles about
In His plastic Tub
Danfarry is really a Sailor
But at moboeing no failure
The worry is BruceK
He says he is OK
However I have missgivings about His sailing talents
A recent 'meeting' on the water
He gave a sign He didn't outa!
A waved a solitary finger at Him
In the best nautillcally fashion
His duo fingered reply was to say the least suprising
Although the Tide it was arising
I could have hit a sandy bank
But then again who gives a W%nk!
Oh Brucie boy, thanks for the tip
About the window open after the Trip
All sorted later, yes thanks for that
The owner aint no terwat
He is just another newbie Boater!
Funny I rang Him after you messaged me
Sorry folks, fred dwift a bit
I said
'You aint closed yer windows properly a Mate just told Me'!
He replied
'Uhh, you aint got no mates and anyway I,m on Apple'!
:D

'Twas me who told thee about the window ,what's amazin a Rhyl lad leaving a window open they are normally downing them for you !!!!!

Have you pointed the the proud new skipper in this direction or has he been put off by the happy exchange of nautical hand signals between his instructer and I? I'd have thought the formal exchange of hand signals on right of way was familiar to the Rhyl lads? Never seen one do the Queens wave yet.

This weekend is a perfect weekend to practice for August . Forecast light northerlies Friday and Sat Am. Gets us out to Pilots Cove Friday night and then on to Porth Dinllaen and the Ty Cock Sat pm . Pub and Barbie Sat night come back Sunday Pm . Tides are good for so ciable hours..........

Well I am anchored up at Pilots Cove looking forward to a sunny morning. But I am Billy no mates. Where are these smokin mobos from Conway. Not looking so good for Sunday so will probably be at Abermenai or Rowen Bay tomorrow night.

Did you get my pm? Admiral got back from Liverpool too late. Thanks to A55 and bloody tourist traffic. Force 4 Sunday and with the late HW Saturday I dont see me making it now. Gutted, especially as the Mrs and I took a half day off work to make the straights in time.
