MOBO hits Ostend breakwater and sinks.

Happened last Monday around 23:00 local time.

Apparently they had been at sea to watch the fireworks (there are firework every Monday during the summer months)
Upon their return they hit the breakwater at speed.
Nine POB - six taken to hospital - two in intensive care.
Skipper intoxicated.
Boat sank outside the fairway and does not pose a danger to shipping.
Wreck being recovered as soon as possible.

the original post stated "The skipper was intoxicated" Wouldn't matter if he was local or not really.

Not dissimilar to the dreadful accident in Loch Tarbert some years ago, if I recall correctly 3 dead 3 seriously injured on that occasion.
