Mobo charter out of Athens.

Hi folks,
Have just booked to bareboat charter a mobo out of Athens for 10 days.
Where should I go? Where's beautiful anchorages/bays with good restaurants for overnighting?
Would only need to go ashore for provisioning as water maker aboard.happy to do up to 60 NM per day or so (range 250NM).
Any must see places or places to avoid?

If you want to enjoy the real Saronikas experience of crowded harbours, snagged anchors, homocidal cat drivers and incompetent charterers try
Aegina, Poros, Idra, Epidavros.
If you want the peace and chill of authentic Greece try
Corfus, neo Epidavros, Vathi (Methanon). Methana, Angistri, Ermoni, Porto Cheli, Naplion. Plaka and anywhere in the Southern Peloponnese.
Try to remember your on a boat and not on a motoring holiday. Enjoy

Since when were yachtie neighbours quiet? Germans who drink and sing till dawn, the French who discuss and argue till dawn, and the scandos who drink, argue and sing until dawn. The Slavs have at least passed out by pre dawn but the snoring can be irritating. No a civilised mobo driver is much more amenable company.

I have spent 6 months trying to purchase a med based 53 sportscruiser which has fallen through at the last minute.
My holidays were booked to go on above purchase, now left with nothing( and mega out of pocket!)
Luckily I have found a 53 feet sportscruiser available for charter and so have chartered for 12 days .
Had to pay heftily for flights to Athens at last minute but at least I get out on the water!!!
Much more interested in quiet locations for a few days at a time, so will look at cruising options as mentioned by previous posters.
Will naturally keep my distance from our yottie brethren when genny being utilised for long periods

well said. Of course no alcohol other than an occasional medicinal sherry is ever consumed on our mobo.
Incidentally why exactly do they call us gin palaces?

53ft with ips to keep life (hopefully )simple.
Will no doubt be very apprehensive first few days but..........
