MOB recovery practice weekend - diaries out!

Looking at the earlier thread here the best date seemed to be the weekend of 27/28 September and the suggested venue is Osea Island in the Blackwater with an evening BBQ at Marconi SC (almost oppostite on the south bank for those who do not know it). I expect there will be some free moorings there or further down at Stone for those not anchoring overnight. Tides look good (for those coming south) with HW Bradwell at 1126 Sat and 1215 Sunday.

We are very interested also however the dates suggested we cant make as we will be in Cyprus which is a shame as both the MOB and the Social event are an excellent idea

Hi Roger,

Glad you've reminded us about this, MrC and I were discussing it just the other day as something we hoped would go ahead.

That weekend looks fine and we'd enjoy it very much.
 
This weekend looks OK in that it doesn't clash with any club events; there will be normal racing from the hard on the Sunday morning.

I think a kick off in the saloon with an RNLI talk would be great -

I'll also try to organise a rib to be around so anyone in the water will have an alternative way out!

Might be worth doing it more than once anyway to give different people a chance to have a go - plus we might all end up buying extra bits of kit after the September one to assist us in recovering our MOBs and then want to try THEM out next time...
