MOB and other safety routines

I will be the first to admit that (during what has been the 1st year of ownership) I have not sufficiently practiced my MOB drills - and that is quite shocking, when I consider that it is mainly family I sail with ! Yes, we had a 'play about for an hour' or so with a bucket and fender - but I was the one manouvering ???? Thanks to the OP - you have got me (and hopefully others) thinking now !!!

You are honest and big enough to admit to something that most of us are guilty of neglecting. If anyone has not read moodysabre's excellent response to my initial query could I encourage them to do so - and once again compliment MoodySabre on a very worthwhile real life exercise.
Like Puddock I hope to upgrade our MOB drills next season. Thanks for very many useful responses
